Home in Harmony

Testimonials:

A New Satisfied Client and her Testimonial-

I highly recommend Jeanne Mork’s “Home In Harmony” to my friends, family and virtual strangers; I am that happy.

Together with a couple of house moves and long working hours, my boxes of “stuff” and papers (bills, junk mail, magazines, etc.) were piling up to the point of being overwhelming. My basement was unusable and my office closet was overflowing. Even retired I just didn’t know how to begin, let alone maintain any semblance of order. A friend told me about “Home in Harmony” and Jeanne’s “love” of organizing.

I called her for an appointment and when we met we talked about what needed to be done, timetable, and costs, during which time we got to know each other. We then set up a schedule that worked for both of us Over a period of about four (4) months, meeting for a couple of hours once or twice a week, more progress was made than I had made by myself over the last decade! I now have a useable basement that is set up as an exercise area and my overfull office closet has room to spare -- and I know now where to find the things I am looking for. I have also gained much from the organization tips that Jeanne provided throughout our time together.

Jeanne proved to be sensitive to my idiosyncrasies, my feelings and sense of privacy, and we worked very well together -- so well, that there were several times I left her alone to continue on without me. She was not there to pass judgment, but to help me get back control. Anyone who works with Jeanne will be more than satisfied with her work and her work ethic, and very happy knowing that huge “I’ve got to get this done” weight is finally off your (my) shoulders.

My father taught me well how to be a packrat. I have always been saving things to fix or use “someday”. My adult children still had boxes of their childhood in my basement. My late mother had lived with us for years. Her “treasures” still filled my house.

Our busy life had led us to pile, pack, and stuff things into every nook and cranny of our house. We were beginning to bust at the seams!

When Jeanne came to my house I was very nervous about what she would say about all our “stuff”. Some of her first words were, “this is going to be so much fun!”. My thought was “what color is the sky in your world?!” But she was right! We worked side by side to organize, throw, and donate until order was restored again.

It has been such a comforting feeling to have control of my house again. The time I used to spend trying to gain control of my “stuff” is now spent with family and friends again

It has been a wonderful experience to have Jeanne in my house and in my life.
She helped me see that I don’t need to save it all. If I have loved something and no longer use it, then I need to let someone else love it too.
